Dude Cuts Up Wife, Runs Through Snow to Escape, and Gays Still Aren't Allowed to Marry

Stephen Grant reported his wife missing 5 days after he last saw her. He had told police that she just got up and walked out. He waited five days before telling anyone about this. (1)

Her community went on a large-scale search for her after she was reported missing. Her husband did not join them. (2) He wouldn't give them any of her clothes so search dogs could find her. (3) He wouldn't allow them access to his house so police could try to figure out where she had gone (4) and he gave the police two laptops to search, neither of which had been used by his wife. (5) The police found a few flirty e-mails between Grant and a gal pal of his. (6)

She went missing on February 9th. Reported missing on February 14th. Dismembered body parts found in the Grants' garage and in a nearby park on March 4th.

Really? Seriously? Are you really serious?

I know justice is slow but for real? 18 days before the police decided it was worth getting a warrant to search this douchebag's house? Surely CNN jests! Stephen Grant's way has been paved by many before him: Scott Petersen, Neil Entwistle, and the countless others who turn up with a simple Google search. So, if I could Google search my way into figuring this guy out, why did it take everyone else so long? The only real shock in this story is that she wasn't pregnant or that their kids didn't end up dead also.

Just for the record, if I ever turn up missing, please nab my girlfriend immediately and question her until she confesses. Not that she would ever do this sort of thing, but if this sort of thing happened to me, she probably did. JUST BECAUSE IT MAKES SENSE!

And to bring this topic on home, traditional marriage has faltered far beyond the rising divorce rates everyone keeps bringing up. Now relationships are ending due to murder rather than losing anything in a divorce. How are gays threatening traditional marriage? The people in those marriages are doing a bang up job of it themselves.
